Chapter 15: Vi Veri Veniversum Vivus Vici

Man on water1

Chapter 15: Vi veri veniversum vivus vici

You have heard me say it before that, in the Bible you and your soul/mind are the World in Creation, but did you know that the word for “World” in the New Testament is a Greek word called “Cosmos” (Kosmos) which means: World, Universe, Reality and Order? This inner-world that you are recreating is the main focus of your process of restructuring your thoughts into a harmonious understanding that removes the chaos that initially dwelt within you. Spend a moment and really familiarize yourself with the definition for the word Cosmos and see how order is the world and universe in creation and chaos is the lack of order that you have been trying to learn to do away with.

A: Universe/World
B: An orderly harmonious systematic universe: order, harmony
C: A complex orderly self-inclusive system
Origin of COSMOS
Greek kosmos
*Synonyms: universe, creation, macrocosm, nature, world
Related Words: existence, reality
**Near Antonyms: nothingness, void, chaos

In your studies so far you have learned that you have been building the perfect man within you. When I use the word “man” I am not being gender specific but only addressing the attribute of the extant of an idea that when tested successfully becomes a Universal Truth. You may have seen me use that term before “Universal Truth”. Again consider the word for “Universe” as “Cosmos” which is also the “World” that is undergoing the “Creation” process. (Take special note of the color coding)

Genesis 1:2 And the earth* (Soul/Mind/Order) was without form** (Without Structure/Chaos), and void** (Empty/Chaos); and darkness (Ignorance) was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit (Waters/Thought) of God (Higher Understanding/Judgment) moved upon the face of the waters (Spirit/Thought).

Universal Truth is then an order of knowing and understandings built of concepts that are universally harmonious to all.

Universal Truths

Galatians 5

22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,

23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

Elements of Enlightenment

Ephesians 5

8 For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light:

9 (For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth😉

10 Proving what is acceptable unto the Lord.

And as we have learned previously that water is “spirit and truth” in the Bible, and that this flow of truth is modernly known as “thought” or “consciousness”. And as thought controls emotions, to an extent, spirit is also representative of “emotions” or “feelings”. So when you are upset your mind is not at peace and the spirit waters within you then rise and crash like a sea tossed to and fro.

James 1:6 But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.

The Walk

Now a spirit that is out of balance is a contrary spirit that cannot reflect like a mirror the image of God within, as it is a spirit that is too agitated to allow a clear image of truth to be perceived. It is only when you have balance within you that your spirit is not in conflict with itself. Remember you are the world (Cosmos: Order) in the midst of the Creation process. You are the order of the cosmos that is working through you and that is creating your spiritual/mental progression. This means of progressing is also known as your “Walk” that allows you to transition from one state to another. If you have ever noticed in your studies that during Jesus’ ministry that He walked everywhere He went, this is because it is symbolic for the progression and the spreading the good news called the “Truth” that heals your inner-world and allows all ideas (men) to find resolution. In simple terms it just means that your search and efforts for enlightenment are paying off as fruits of understanding (IE: riches/fruits of the spirit/Universal Truths). The walk is steps and choices you make that propel you forward through your path in life and so the lame too are healed so that ideas may be properly tested through progression to find understanding.

Walking Progression

Luke 7:22 Then Jesus answering said unto them, Go your way, and tell John what things ye have seen and heard; how that the blind see (Perceptions restored), the lame walk (Progress is made), the lepers are cleansed (Corruption of false truth removed), the deaf hear (Understanding is restored), the dead are raised (Enlightenment has beaten spiritual death), to the poor the gospel is preached (Truth is revealed).
John 5:8 Jesus saith unto him, Rise, take up thy bed, and walk. (Awaken your understanding and progress)

Progression Via Enlightenment

John 8:12 Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.
John 11:9 Jesus answered, Are there not twelve hours in the day? If any man walk in the day, he stumbleth not, because he seeth the light of this world.
John 12:35 Then Jesus said unto them, Yet a little while is the light with you. Walk while ye have the light, lest darkness come upon you: for he that walketh in darkness knoweth not whither he goeth.

Progression in the Spirit

Romans 8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

Reflections in Matthew (Walking on Water)

Consider these passages in the book of Matthew and consider then the waters and winds as two aspects of your spirit that are contrary to each other, where the lower waters are your primitive thoughts and desires, and where the winds are actually representative of your higher ideals and aspirations. Also consider that a ship is a means of discovering balance in the spirit waters as if as a walk of progression in the quest for truth, and this pursuit creates a bridge like medium of the two waters. With these things in mind we see that Christ then represents the authority in you to calm your consciousness and feelings and this allows you to overcome your self-conflict of your higher and lower self-identity so that a mirror of waters can be formed. For it is only reason and understanding, known as “Truth” that can bridge and unify the division of spirits. So as Christ walks on water he is then the vessel and means of change as He is symbolic of the Truth that allows the progression of your understanding to overcome the contrary and prideful (boisterous) spirit raging within you. It is only Truth that can create resolution and calmness within your mind and ease your spirit in self-reflection.

Matthew 14:

The ship is the spirit seeking balance but it’s not making headway because the higher and lower thoughts/spirits are conflicting.
24 But the ship was now in the midst of the sea, tossed with waves: for the wind was contrary.
Freedom comes in the time of reflection as a progression of spirit.
25 And in the fourth watch of the night Jesus went unto them, walking on the sea.
Discipline fears change in the spirit, even that of progress.
26 And when the disciples saw him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, It is a spirit; and they cried out for fear.
Freedom is recognized as being good and nothing to be feared.
27 But straightway Jesus spake unto them, saying, Be of good cheer; it is I; be not afraid.
Firmness in character (The Rock/Truth) seeks change for the better.
28 And Peter answered him and said, Lord, if it be thou, bid me come unto thee on the water.
Solid resolve attempts progression and balance but,…
29 And he said, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus.
Pride makes it hard to change and fear causes your progression to falter and you quickly revert to former ways, but yet you still seek salvation.
30 But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me.
Do not doubt or fear that your efforts will be in vain. Salvation is at hand if only you can trust and believe.
31 And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt?
Truth is the means of balance that allows progression.
32 And when they were come into the ship, the wind ceased.
Rejoice for it is TRUTH that (Son) builds the higher understanding of God.
33 Then they that were in the ship came and worshipped him, saying, Of a truth thou art the Son of God.

So, just as Christ walks on water so too are those that overcome the bitter spirit.

Revelation 15:2 And I saw as it were a sea of glass mingled with fire: and them that had gotten the victory over the beast, and over his image, and over his mark, and over the number of his name, stand on the sea of glass, having the harps of God.

Vi veri veniversum vivus vici

Why is the title of the chapter “Vi veri veniversum vivus vici”? It’s a Latin phrase that exemplifies your walk and goal. On this level that you are learning to read the Bible, it is not about death and eternal life but about the ability you have to master your inner-world through balance and truth. This is about NOW, while yet living that you have the means to overcome mental conflict and find peace. You don’t have to die to find salvation; it is NOW that you overcome the old order of the inner-world’s understanding. It is NOW that you rule the universe/world/order within. The definition of this ancient phrase “Vi veri veniversum vivus vici” sums it all up cleanly as it means:

By the power of truth, I, while living, have conquered the universe” or, “By the power of truth I, a mortal, have conquered all creation.”

This is the goal of your seven day/stage journey, to mirror God in understanding and to overcome all the world that you had created (All Creation).

John 10:

34 Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods?

35 If he called them gods, unto whom the word of God came, and the scripture cannot be broken;

Revelation 15:2 And I saw as it were a sea of glass mingled with fire: and them that had gotten the victory over the beast, and over his image, and over his mark, and over the number of his name, stand on the sea of glass, having the harps of God.
