Lupita Nyong’o

I found this on YouTube and thought it was worth sharing.

Thank you Lupita Nyong’o for being a woman of substance.

Lupita Nyong'o

How is it that we all seem to forget who we are? How do we lose sight of our pride and self-love and think of ourselves as something less than wonderful? Are we not all made in God’s image? Are we not all made of excellent things? If you mirror God then you are amazing! So why then want to be someone else? Your gifts, your mind, your hopes and love are all made of you and are crafted and given to you to be the perfect image of God that is reflected inside you. This does not mean a diamond never needs to be polished or a stone needs not be refined to make the beauty of sculpted art emerge, but it does mean that you are given great clues into what you are made for. It’s not about looking for big things to become, it’s looking for real substance to embody. So stop looking to be made of others but rather be made for them. We all have our special gifts for a reason, because if we all had the same ones, who would ever need anyone else? Be you, be proud, be amazing… and most of all allow yourself to be loved as you are the living image of God.

1 John 4:7 Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God.
8 He who does not love does not know God, for God is love.

  1. You are absolutely right! The answer, I believe, is that in the world we live in, it’s easy to get sidetracked with material things and we let this influence us and change is into something we are not and create us into people we believe we would never be.

I just have faith in God because he knows the way more than anyone else

    1. Thanks for writing Tania,
It’s not just the world we live in in this present time, though we do promote a certain entitlement thinking into our society, but people have always been influenced by the draw to be what other people want us to be. It is not our fault either as all we know is taught to us from the world around us, but these voices of our past cloud and confuse our perceptions of our future and present self. This is the essence of this ministry, to take away the voices of the past that built up a house of many voices all calling out without volume control to listen to them speak. Night and day we listen to what our past has to say and seldom hear our own self as most do not know who they really are aside from these voices. We live to please our surroundings because we are social animals but at some point we need to discover who we are and who we want to truly be, and if that someone is trying to do it alone without the truth of our Creator then as a creation how can we know what we are made for?

It is only when we learn to seek answers that we find them, and not only what we seek but much much more. It is in the quest that the magic truly begins and the world opens its doors to you and the voices learn to quiet away. It is only in the pursuit of truth that understanding is found and in understanding love is born. Without understanding we can not know love, and we can not understand if we do not seek what it is to know as God knows. Only when we see the world as God sees it, like a lost and lonely child will we learn to have patience and kindness not only for others but to see them all as reflections of ourselves; afraid, lost, lonely and confused and needing a big warm hug to make the darkness stay away even for just one more day.

Thanks again for writing Tania. Be beautiful as only God can make you and have a blessed day.
