So the craftsman encouraged the goldsmith; He who smooths with the hammer inspired him who strikes the anvil, Saying, “It is ready for the soldering”; Then he fastened it with pegs, That it might not totter. 1 Chronicles 29:2
Now I have prepared with all my might for the house of my God the gold for things to be made of gold, and the silver for things of silver, and the brass for things of brass, the iron for things of iron, and wood for things of wood; onyx stones, and stones to be set, glistering stones, and of divers colours, and all manner of precious stones, and marble stones in abundance.
There are two hammers. One that builds up. And the other that breaks down. One is a weapon and the other an instrument and tool. One bores and breaks while the other refines and shapes. It is the hammer that is the gritty tool of the blacksmith that creates the instruments of the field and the armor and weapons of the battle field. From the chariot to the oxen’s plow, it is the first in the works of war and harvest alike. It is also the brilliant tool of the craftsman of whom fashions his precious works of bronze, silver and gold. It is the basic tool of the carpenter that joins together the wood of the trees of life into a single purpose and function. It is the mighty hammer that symbolizes both the strength and precision of the architect and mason, whom cut, shape and refine the stones of the quarry into either great ruling houses and temples of God or devices as humble as the miller’s stone. It is the tool of jewelers and gem smiths alike that precisely cut the fiery stones into gems of unsurpassed brilliance. It is the hammer that forms merchant ships and vessels, both great and small, that navigate the many waters and seas. It is the hammer that sparks the light of God on the anvil of life. It fashions the furnace and grinds the spice. It is the hammer that beats swords to plow shares and plow shares right back into swords. It is these two hammers together that forge and form the mighty sword of truth that cuts through and separates joints and marrow from bone. This is the hammer of the hands you posses right now. They are your hands that you use to create, heal and caress each day. And they are also the same hands that hurt, harm and destroy. So mind your hammers, because your actions today build up or break down your tomorrows.
Who do your hands belong to? Are they the hands of skill or are they claws of a beast?
Bringing it together
1 Samuel 13:19
Now there was no blacksmith to be found throughout all the land of Israel, for the Philistines said, “Lest the Hebrews make swords or spears.” Hebrews 4:12
For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. Ecclesiastes 7:16
Do not be overly righteous, Nor be overly wise: Why should you destroy yourself?
17 Do not be overly wicked, Nor be foolish: Why should you die before your time?
18 It is good that you grasp this, And also not remove your hand from the other; For he who fears God will escape them all.
Let not one hand be removed from the other. This is the sword of truth. The power of prayer and the power of our actions. We are to bring the two acts together in union. Do not be foolish which is of the left hand and do not be overly wise which is to the right.Joshua 1:7
Only be strong and very courageous, that you may observe to do according to all the law which Moses My servant commanded you; do not turn from it to the right hand or to the left, that you may prosper wherever you go.
The straight and narrow path is the blade of the sword of salvation and we are told to walk the middle ground. Do NOT be overly foolish and do NOT be overly righteous. Find balance in life. This is where God wants you to be. Don’t be so overly spiritual that you are no earthly good. The right is reserved for God alone. His judgement is his to give not for you to deal. If you are casting your stones you hammered in judgement then you play the part of the Pharisees that crucified our Lord of salvation. Instead of casting a stone off the mountain of life, lend down a hand and lift someone up. No need to push them down because you think that this someone isn’t worthy. After all who are you to judge another man’s servant?Romans 14:4
Who are you to judge another’s servant? To his own master he stands or falls. Indeed, he will be made to stand, for God is able to make him stand.
This road in life is paved with the paving stones of our own making. We forge our own way in life. The choices we make are our own. But to what end are our choices? Do we veer left and take the low and selfishly easy route? Or do we go the higher route and look down and cast our judgments at others? Or do we take the level and middle ground and walk the walk that God intended?
There are 14 different words in the Bible that are translated into the word Humble; Most sharing the same root. Each of these words mean to bring low. But it is not just to be brought low or subjugation. The definition is easier to see in the Greek word tapeinoō
ταπεινόωtapeinoō means: to make low, bring low
a) to level, reduce to a plain.
A plain is a flat surface. Not raised up nor made low. But flat, level and in balance, without extremes.Isaiah 40:4; Luke 3:5
Every valley shall be exalted And every mountain and hill brought low; The crooked places shall be made straight And the rough places smooth;
This is the balance of life. Don’t set yourself up too high. Don’t exalt yourself. But also don’t be too lowly and debased. Find balance in humility. This is what it is all about.
Don’t be overly righteous. That just means don’t be too correct. Righteousness simply means correctness. It is just the spiritually cliché word we use to explain being correct in our actions and thoughts. But when we raise ourselves up then we tend to put others down.
When we are so low we tend to bring others down too, so we can climb back up. It’s like being around people who are drinking or doing drugs. They don’t usually want you around unless you are using or “Partying” with them. You are a “Buzz-kill” if you don’t join them and there is seldom an alternative. This is all human nature. We don’t want you to be better than us… But we don’t usually mind you being like us.
But we, as Christians are made of better stuff. This is where the word Holy comes in.Holy simply means: to set apart.
You are supposed to set yourself apart from the ways of the world. This does not mean to go sit on a mountain top looking down on people because you are “So much better than those sinners”. It just means that you see your path more clearly than others and also don’t be yoked (Joined) together with people who are out of balance. So stop judging people. That is the Devil’s jobRevelation 12:10
Then I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, “Now salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren, who accused them before our God day and night, has been cast down.
Don’t do the Devil’s work for him. Understand he is out of balance. He is on the one side accusing you before God saying “Who do you think you are to come before God???” “Look at him! He’s not worthy! Look how sinful and how dirty he is. Look at the things he likes in secret! Vile gross thing that he is! YOU’RE NOT WORTHY!!”
But yet he is the same guy on the other side whispering “Psst, hey. Check her out! She’s hot! No one will know” Or “Dude, you deserve this”, “Everyone is doing it”, “It’ll make you feel good”
THIS IS THE SAME GUY! Not two different ones. The same one!!! Understand he actually hates the animal unruly side in us but, he can use the animal side to his benefit. He is beautiful and wise beyond our full understanding. He knows stuff that will make you in awe. He was made perfect and wise and he likes all things perfect… but he is WAY out of balance and loves to use the weak to get what he wants. The weak are just pawns to him, so why do his work for him?.
The Devil is beautiful, make no mistake in this. The scriptures say:Ezekiel 28:12
…’Thus says the Lord GOD: ” You were the seal of perfection, Full of wisdom and perfect in beauty
He was PERFECT! Yet his pride made him unworthy and this is what caused his fall.Ezekiel 28:17
“Your heart was lifted up because of your beauty; You corrupted your wisdom for the sake of your splendor; I cast you to the ground, I laid you before kings, That they might gaze at you.
The thing is he is very wise. He is the master of all human reasoning. Anything that is selfish is under his domain. He loves order. He hates things that are out-of-order but in this he is the embodiment of chaos because he is both sides of the path.Mark 3:25
And if a house is divided against itself, that house cannot stand.
So don’t be out of balance and be divided because like Lucifer, his house can not stand! It will fall by its own imbalance in the time of judgment.
The right and the left. Our hands are still named after this set of choices.Right: means righteous or correct.
This meaning exists and is echoed in every culture on the planet that I can think off. In most cultures to use the left hand is very wrong. Nuns used to slap your hand with a ruler if you used your left to write with. Samurai would do the same about holding a sword in the left because a sword was the symbol of your soul and it was always held in balance of both hands and seldom in the right alone.Left means: Left-over, what is left, left behind.
It means to be dirty, where as the right is to be clean. Ask someone from India about your left hand. Right goes in, left comes out… Seriously ask em about eating with it (Bwa ha ha 😉
But Lucifer is very smart and he comes to us with his reasoning2 Corinthians 11:14
And no wonder! For Satan himself transforms himself into an angel of light. The word angel means: messenger
In Hebrew: mal’ak
In Greek: aggelos
ἄγγελοςThey both simply mean: messengers or a message. Light means: To illuminate or make you smarter and enlightened.
So Lucifer, or Satan, or The Devil (Whatever you feel most comfortable with calling him) transforms himself into a message of enlightenment. But his truth is not one set in balance. It is on both sides of the path and not on it.
There is God’s, or your own way. God’s way, is the only way to peace. Basically, it’s as simple as you go the way that helps everyone as a whole (Love God, Love others) or you go your own way. And any way you go that is not beneficial for both God and others… Well, you suddenly find that you are way off course! You will miss the overall goal!
Imagine you have an arrow and you want to achieve that bull’s-eye… where do you aim? Straight at the target. Everything else is a miss! So this is your straight and narrow path.Numbers 22:26
Then the Angel of the LORD went further, and stood in a narrow place where there was no way to turn either to the right hand or to the left.
So walk the blade of the sword of truth. You veer one way or the other too far and you will feel the blade cut you from the path. Too wicked; CUT! Too righteous and judgemental; CUT! you know when you go to far. Don’t lose your way in the wilderness. Stay focused on the goal.1 Corinthians 9:24
Do you not know that those who run in a race all run, but one receives the prize? Run in such a way that you may obtain it.
This journey is all too short and you only have so much time. Work hard and hammer the stones of life and refine them to fit together and don’t cast your rough stones in anger and despair. Follow the straight and narrow road.Matthew 7:13
“Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it.
14 Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.
The Story of Pandora.
In Greek mythology, Pandora was the first woman on earth. Zeus ordered Hephaestus, the god of craftsmanship, to create her and he did, using water and earth. The gods endowed her with many talents; Aphrodite gave her beauty, Apollo music, Hermespersuasion, and so forth. Hence her name: Pandora, “all-gifted”.
When Prometheus stole fire from heaven, Zeus took vengeance by presenting Pandora to Epimetheus, Prometheus’ brother. With her, Pandora had a jar which she was not to open under any circumstance. Impelled by her natural curiosity, Pandora opened the jar, and all evil contained escaped and spread over the earth. She hastened to close the lid, but the whole contents of the jar had escaped, except for one thing which lay at the bottom, and that was Hope.
Though this story is not Hebrew nor in the Bible I am telling it for a reason. I told you this story only to tell you another one:
The Good Steward:
There once was a servant of a mighty King. This King owned a great many lands. This servant was however the masters favorite. Everything he did pleased his master greatly, and he knew that when the time came for new assignments to be given out that he would be placed in the highest of honors and bestowed as steward of all the lands for the King. But when the time came he was not given all the lands and the charge of all the other servants below him. He was given a small and humble garden. Though it was small it was beautiful. But the man could not see it for its beauty. All he could see was his jealousy and rage at the master for denying him what was rightfully his to obtain. But despite his rage he still did his very bets work and in time and in toil he began to take pride in his little garden and he came to learn that this garden was in fact the Kings favorite place in all the realm. He often came here to reflect and find his ease. He began to understand that it was not a punishment that he was placed as steward of this particular garden. It was in fact the highest honor the King could bestow, because he wanted his best man to tend to his greatest treasure. This was also the King’s way of sharing his joy with his favorite servant. This servant in time grew to love this garden equally well as the King. And when the day came that the servant died an old man, he found his final rest happily in the service in the little garden of the King.
We are the stewards of peace. We are given the gift of joy and peace if only we can calm our hearts and minds. In Jesus we find our true King and in service to him we find our peace. So now imagine that faithful steward as a young man full of so much pride and ambition trying with all he has to be someone great. Now we will look back to the story of Pandora. Pandora closed up in that vessel of hers one last little spite. One last woe of the world. It is known as Hope but it is in fact not hope as we know it but it actually the ability to know ones own future. By not seeing the future we are able to still dream and strive and this is what gives us hope.
So now imagine that young man and seeing himself in the future as an old man in a garden and not in charge of anything he imagined. What would you think he would do if he could see that future? Could a young ambitious man understand the simple pleasures of the old? Would he have tried so hard? Would he have even cared to try at all? “Why work so hard if in the end I get nothing???” If we see the future we lose hope and we try to change our course. But this is not the way. This is not God’s way.
One meets his destiny often in the road he takes to avoid it. ~ French Proverb
Any other way that you go on the road of life that does not have the balance (Understanding of the heart: Water: Spirit and sword of truth) between right (Righteousness: Ruling correct with God: Of the mind: Of Heaven) and Left (Left over, left behind: Of the experiences of life: Body: Earth.) you will get lost. And all other ways are dead ends. If you ever took a short cut in life you know how difficult they usually are to navigate and how few actually work out as anything but a dead-end and are often dangerous.
MAGIC: The cross roads.
Have you heard it said “He sold his soul at the crossroads”? It is taking an alternative route than God has planned for your life. It is a shortcut to a way that you think and hope better suits you. This is also the same with magic and divinations and why God views it as being so bad. Much of modern magic comes by way of the Jewish magicians. From Kabbala we get the magic wand as it comes from the waving of the sword of truth. The Tarot comes from the original 22 characters of the Hebrew alphabet [Psalms 119] of the Torah and they are believed to be the divine pathways in life. The magic circle and pentagrams and some other magic symbols we know today were used by them as well. AND OF THEMSELVES MANY OF THESE THINGS WERE NOT BAD OR EVIL! Almost all of them were a way of teaching and understanding the truth around us and many were even important in our Holy scriptures. But they have become synonymous with evil and pagan witchcraft. Much of the modern cults and ritualistic beliefs came later as a result and they all arose from these simple images of truth. But with the understanding of the objects of life these people also believed they could take the symbolic nature of them in the Bible and then use their powers for discernment to change the future.
A bird was meant as a creature of enlightenment and spiritual truth and a dove represented gentleness. This is why we use it as the symbol of peace. So it was the animal most worthy to represent our gentle and kind thoughts, thus it became a worthy sacrifice in the Temples. But this is where it all went wrong. It is like how we believe in the lamb of God but we don’t pray to a lamb but yet a lamb was sacrificed symbolically. It was what the lamb meant (Innocents and obedience). This was the same with the Egyptians. They used these objects and animals to understand the nature of things, but somewhere, someone started to make gods and idols out of them. So the spiritual significance of an object would then become a medium they would use to try to change reality to better suit their own needs better.
The Book of Enoch (Not part of the Bible, but it is directly refered to several times in it [Jude 1:9]) refers to us being given the understanding of the herbs and animals by Lucifer. Using the symbolic nature of things it was believed real things could be made to manifest and destinies could be changed. These people believed that seeing the path ahead you could try to avoid anything bad that might come your way. If you see something you don’t like you would be able to change it.
But what God wants us to know is that this is not the way. Because it is in our hardest times that we learn the most powerful lessons. Don’t change course. Stay the course and hold steadfast and don’t lose faith and meet each day with head held high because each obstacle is there for you to learn a lesson by… What lesson will you learn. To be courageous? Or to be a coward? AND DON’T TRY TO READ THE FUTURE! IT’S IN GOD’S HANDS!.. You’ll just become discouraged and give up if you knew! It’s not the destination it’s the journey!!!
Courage isn’t just doing what it right. It is doing what’s right despite the fact you know it’s hard. But the cowards way, is any other way.Revelation 21:8
But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.”
Don’t be afraid of what you know you have to do. God is with you in ALL things.Hebrews 13:5
Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”
So make your ways straight.Luke 3:4
as it is written in the book of the words of Isaiah the prophet, saying: ” The voice of one crying in the wilderness: ‘ Prepare the way of the LORD; Make His paths straight.
5 Every valley shall be filled And every mountain and hill brought low; The crooked places shall be made straight And the rough ways smooth;
And bring your hands together as a blacksmith set to a task. But a task for good reason and not set to the work of idols (Anything that masters you that is not for the better of others and God)Isaiah 44:12
The blacksmith with the tongs works one in the coals, Fashions it with hammers, And works it with the strength of his arms. Even so, he is hungry, and his strength fails; He drinks no water and is faint.
But don’t give up.Luke 10:3
Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves.
And God is calling you.Luke 14:23
Then the master said to the servant, ‘Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled.
He has not left you alone. The way is laid before you.Matthew 11:10
For this is he of whom it is written: ‘ Behold, I send My messenger before Your face, Who will prepare Your way before You.’
But you must walk the walk and do the work set before you and pave your way to heaven. So again I ask who do your hands belong to? What have you created for God lately? What have you done with your hands today?Isaiah 54:16
“Behold, I have created the blacksmith Who blows the coals in the fire, Who brings forth an instrument for his work; And I have created the spoiler to destroy. Jeremiah 23:29
” Is not My word like a fire?” says the LORD, ” And like a hammer that breaks the rock in pieces? Jeremiah 50:23
How the hammer of the whole earth has been cut apart and broken! How Babylon has become a desolation among the nations! Don’t be as Babylon (Confusion) and get CUT out of the book of life! Keep you eyes on the goal… And RUN!
