GROWTH OF THE SOUL

Exodus 13:2
“Consecrate to Me all the firstborn, whatever opens the womb among the children of Israel, both of man and beast; it is Mine.”

Life starts with a thrust and a shove into a cold world of confusion where only moments before you thought you had it all figured out. Your life before birth was somewhat confining and restrictive but it was at least comfortable for a time, and it was simple and easy. But like a child we cannot stay in one state for too long before we grow too much and too big to be confined into a single state of developing grace, and when change happens, it often comes quickly, painfully and messy.

And it often comes with a lot of screaming because of the fear and uncertainty of the changes that had come. The funny thing is, since you were born, none of that process of growth has changed.

John 16:21
A woman, when she is in labor, has sorrow because her hour has come; but as soon as she has given birth to the child, she no longer remembers the anguish, for joy that a human being has been born into the world.

There are two very simple and important truths about yourself that you must know to continue on:

1. You are a child of growth

2. You are an animal and a slave.

Many people seem to take offense to being called an animal and a slave, as none of us like to picture ourselves in this manner. We like to think we are some great being destined for grand plans of ultimate existence and endless possibilities. But ask yourself, who are you to think such things? Who are you to determine the greatness of existence? Do you know the mind of God? Can you see into the future? Do you even understand what the measure of greatness is beyond the vision that man typically sees? Who promised you a better tomorrow filled with rainbows and lollipops? The truth is that tomorrow is uncertain and if you have taken offense to any of what I have just said… Good. This only proves my point of the beast that lives within you, that fears the changes of internal growth that are the wisdoms that make a man grow and reflect and mirror God with his life.

From the time you were born you came into a world of uncertainty and were force-fed one lie after another and swallowed down the bitter pills that are the illusions of what makes a “man” great. But you are not a man, not yet. You are a small child that is still growing. It does not matter how old you are, your growth process has never stopped, and will not stop until you are born into another life. Growth happens beyond the surface of the physical life that you know and that veil and blinds you constantly with lies. But this life is the womb of the Spirit incubating a soul to be born renewed into the eternal truth that is in all things.

Romans 8:22
For we know that the whole creation groans and labors with birth pangs together until now.

Now, If you continue reading what I am about to share, your life will change, and you will not be able to unsee, or unhear nor unthink what is about to be planted into your consciousness. You may not even accept it right away, but the seed will grow on its own. Maybe not today, but it germinates with time and experience. And when it eventually takes root, curiosity will take hold and you will return to question what you believe you know, because this is not about triviality and good and happy feelings. This is about an actual personal growth and a connection with God like you have never known. But it will change you and manifest itself into something bigger and greater than you might expect. This is a legacy of change that will mark your world and propel you out of confusion and fear and into the light of God. After all, isn’t it time for a change?

If you made the choice to continue, welcome. New growth in your life has just begun.

Psalms 1:3
He shall be like a tree Planted by the rivers of water, That brings forth its fruit in its season, Whose leaf also shall not wither; And whatever he does shall prosper.

Forward Unto Dawn:

What you just read at the start about birth was an analogy of a greater truth disguised as a story to awaken a deeper part of your consciousness that is separate from your primitive mind. This is the exact same way the Bible is written. The stories are only the surface level that hides a much deeper truth. It is a book of simple secrets hidden in the visible words. It is God’s truth shrouded in mystery, and unlocked only by the true seekers quest to understand.

Job 11:6
That He would show you the secrets of wisdom! For they would double your prudence. Know therefore that God exacts from you Less than your iniquity deserves.

As humans we think and accept things in human terms, but yet we aspire to greater visions and aspirations. We often call it the pride of our ego when it becomes overly satisfied with its own accomplishments, but it is the fire that fuels our desire to grow, and to know, and to be more that propels us. It is a hunger within us all that wants to be satisfied, much like an infant’s drive to feed the hunger that makes it grow. All things go into the mouth of a small child; it is how it discovers what is real food to consume and what is only a toy. Your mind is in a constant state of exploration to expand its horizons but it has instead become a small world full of fears. Fear is our greatest enemy as it robs the spirit of its joy and strips away our potential for change.

There are two greater truths to this life:

1. Your capacity for love.
Trully developed love understands the challenges we all face each day as we try to grow. Love courageously perseveres through adversities and change and it grows in truth and understanding with each challenge set before it. In God’s mirror of truths, this active state creates an ease or rest in knowing that you cannot control anything. Peace in the spirit can only come from actively accepting change and not clinging to old illusions and flawed beliefs. Love is a life giving spirit of the truth and marries to the wisdom of change.

2. Your capacity for fear.
Fear cripples and enslaves your will like nothing else. It tries desperately to hold onto a single state with excessive force and tries to control that which cannot remain still. As all things will eventually change, but fear confines like a constricting serpent trying to bind and choke the life out of its prey to keep it still. But that prey is your life, your freedom and truth, and it is also that of those around you that are also trying to live and grow. This is the result of a restless and confined spirit that is seeking to find stability and peace through force, but only killing and crushing all that it loves into dust and ruin.

Psalms 73:22
I was so foolish and ignorant; I was like a beast before You.

Earlier I called you an animal and a slave. And like it or not you are an animal. You are still driven by beastly drives and needs. This is NOT something to be ashamed of. You are an animal by nature, but over time God will teach you to become a man. In Biblical terms, being a man is not about gender, nor completely destroying the urges within you. It is about conditioning them so they do not rule you. You may not be able to tame the beast of the heart, but you can at least find balance and peace with it through conditioning.

Proverbs 9:6
Forsake foolishness and live, And go in the way of understanding.

The primitive part of you is wild and fierce and it resists change. It is painful to let go of the past as we feel we are somehow not honoring its memories. So we lock into a perpetual state, grasping and desperately clinging to the memories and illusions of how we liked life best. Too often you see control exert itself into your life by others and even yourself. You become conditioned to life being a certain way and it is hard to let it go and possibly welcome chaos into your clean and tidy life. But yet every day you open the doors to the house of your soul and let the wild beast in to shelter from its play. It is as an animal without understanding that only knows this is where it lives, eats and sleeps. So the shaggy beast comes in from the wild and shakes the mud and filth from its coat and soils all you worked so hard to clean up in your life. And each day you are in a self-perpetuating rut of trying to clean up after your beasts own persisting messes.

Luke 11:26
Then he goes and takes with him seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter and dwell there; and the last state of that man is worse than the first.”

The past is past, but most of us fear to move on. Life is in a constant state of change but yet we cling to old conditionings to try and keep change from happening. You are always growing, simply by living, and you no longer fit into your old state of understanding. You are a snowball of experiences that stick to you as you move forward in your journey through life, constantly growing with each step and cycle. But we return over and over to a place we no longer fit. To a place that is not even real. Change is real. Control is an illusion. And control is the product of fear. You cannot control anything. Repeat this if you will. Actually read it out loud. “I am not in control. I control nothing in this life but my choices. I am born a slave to my ego, but I choose to let go as I go, and I choose to grow through my challenges and adversities” This is a type of mantra, if you will, that helps you to remember that you have no control of anything in this life, but are constantly living in a perpetuating illusion of the past that lied to you, and it made you believe that life is a certain way, and that fairytale wishes do come true. There are no sugarplum fairies here. There is only the crippling fear of the ego that is afraid to let go of control, and then there is the love and hope and the surrender to the will of an eternal and loving God.

Psalms 64:1
Hear my voice, O God, in my meditation; Preserve my life from fear of the enemy.

God is the divine spark of growth in truth within you. God is the power to overcome by faith that everything will be okay even when it doesn’t seem to be. God makes it okay because you see that you have no power to change it. What is to come WILL come and there is little you can do to stop it. The past is a memory and tomorrow is only an illusion of the things you want yesterday to become. Today is a constant struggle to balance between the past and future, but both are a lie you are desperately clinging to. Neither is real. Only the Now exists. Now has no illusions, it just is and if you are living in any other time you are lost in a world of lies that create only disappointment and regret.

1 Chronicles 29:15
For we are aliens and pilgrims before You, As were all our fathers; Our days on earth are as a shadow, And without hope.

Clinging to the past is a form of arrested development that has locked you into a series of intricate lies that you constantly tell yourself to keep you from growing up. This state of perpetual lies is the existence that most of us live in. At some point, you believe you got most of your life figured out, and so you built up foundations from your personal beliefs, and you then built up a house of false truths, one stone at a time. Each truth you accept is a solid established belief that has become a building stone that is then placed upon another, thus assembling and forming greater structures of truths within you.

1 Corinthians 3:16
Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you? 17 If anyone defiles the temple of God, God will destroy him. For the temple of God is holy, which temple you are.

If I told you that beauty is the key driving force of life then this would be the foundation your soul’s house would be built upon. From this one foundation of beauty you might then discover in life a myriad of other truths to support it, like:

  • Beautiful people succeed more and try less.
  • Beautiful people are admired and they are easily loved and respected.
  • Celebrities are beautiful people and they get to go to the best places, parties, restaurants and receive great fame for their perfection.

1 Peter 1:24
because “All flesh is as grass, And all the glory of man as the flower of the grass. The grass withers, And its flower falls away,

The list of beauty goes on and on. It is the self-perpetuating truth of the primitive animal-man that perfection is desirable. But this is a truth that is built on the sands of time. Sand is changing. Sand is shifting and time is a cruel and petty mistress that lies to you and makes you think that beauty is eternal, but robs you slowly of it and you scurry frantically trying to hold your house of lies together. Age comes for us all. Time stops for no man and the power you seek is fleeting. It is a constant effort to hold it all together, but eventually you realize that it was all for nothing and your house will not last. It will fall apart with age as the truths you once believe deteriorate before your eyes. Only the young are recognized for the beauty you once admired. So you buy more creams. More paints to color your face and hair. More effort is spent at the gym to maintain an illusion of youth and perfection. And yet you get fewer looks each day. Less cat calls and whistles. You no longer get into the clubs so easily… and your spirit resists this change with all it has and it begins to lie to you. It speaks words of secret jealousies that make you boil with hate. It weakens your spirit and your resolve, and your pension for growth is halted as you look to the past with green and envious eyes. But the past is past and the future has become uncertain and full of the terrors of the darkness of the night of the soul.

Fear is cunning, and at first it whispers to you, but slowly it turns up the volume with desperation:

  1. Oh, I didn’t get that promotion because of an oversight and I am still new here.
  2. I need to become more obvious and press more flesh to impress.
  3. No wait, it was because of favoritism that I did not get the promotion.
  4. I need to grease the right palms.
  5. This is an outrage. I am more qualified than anyone else!

Isaiah 3:4
“I will give children to be their princes, And babes shall rule over them.

With time the spirit of fear grows and it begins to shout its lies louder and louder into your inner ear and binds you into a state of misery and blinds you to the truth that maybe you are the reason your life has not changed. This is the bondage that Jesus came to set you free from. Your mind is a prison of lies and shackles you in fear. And until you learn who Jesus really is you will forever be trapped in a shrinking tomb of doubt. Just as you were grown in your mother’s womb, you too are now in the womb of understanding. But the walls are closing in on you even as you read this. Your world is getting smaller by the second and the birthing pains have already begun. This life is too confining in the state you are in. You kick and thrust trying to make it grow to accommodate your growing consciousness that you know as your soul. The soul is not the life force within you but the growth of your understanding. It is a growing entity of accumulated eternal truths that is masked as the life you are living. And each experience is teaching and feeding the child growing within. You cannot stop this process. It hungers. It needs to know and it needs to break free of its confinement to grow into eternity. So you need to ask yourself. Do I want to be a beast living my life in an illusion of two worlds, my past and a future that do not exist? Do I want to be a slave to my bitter spirit trying to hold a house of lies together? Do I want to stop growing, confined to a shrinking prison cell that will eventually smother me unto death with doubts and fears? Or do I want to know freedom? Do I want to be free and be born pure and beautiful in a body that never perishes and stays young and beautiful forever? Then know the beauty regimen you must begin is not one of the flesh and its lies. It is not a diet of consuming every shallow thing that leaves you empty inside. It is a diet of truth and a regimen of internal beauty that will free you. It is a child’s innocence and willingness to follow and grow.

Matthew 11:25
At that time Jesus answered and said, “I thank You, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that You have hidden these things from the wise and prudent and have revealed them to babes.

Eternity awaits the brave, and misery awaits the cowardly in spirit. So a line is now being drawn in the sand. I can show you a world of truth and freedom but it will hurt and strip away the animal coat you live in. So you can come and follow, or you can stay exactly as you are now and walk away.

Psalms 107:5
Hungry and thirsty, Their soul fainted in them.

Feeding Your BLIND SOul Some Light!

I need you to make a commitment and pledge within yourself to stay with SOulBLINDministry.com for at least one year (6 months at the least). If you can come back regularly and try to share the truths I will lay out for you, they will help strip away years of lies and illusions you may not even have known were there. It is a painful and messy process of facing yourself and the truth of this life that may even leave you screaming in fear and with tears. But these are birth pains of change and they are the keys to a simple and free life that you will learn through the secrets hidden in the Bible. I promise you God can change your world through simple truths that will move you in small directions until you find balance, but you must be willing to accept and change. This is not a vain promise of my own conceit. This is the reality of everyone I have shared these truths with. But if you catch only a piece here and there, some important foundations may be lost and the whole image may blur and your house of understanding may shatter if built on unsubstantial sands. These truths you will learn are going to break down a world of illusions you have built up over time, but the world you know and the Bible you already read will change quickly and dramatically and bring you the freedom you so desperately need. And once you start down this path, nothing will remain the same. So be ready to let go… and grow.

If you liked ANY of this, or know anyone who can benefit from this experience to come, please share it. If you do not make the effort… it goes nowhere. You are the voice of truth and reason to a dark and fallen world. So light a fire that consumes a world of darkness.
