Self-Recognition

Continued from “I Begin With Me” from the series starting with “Unmasking the Truth
These are the foundations that will unlock the Bible in a way you never knew existed.

Self-Recognition

Exodus 38:8
He made the laver of bronze and its base of bronze, from the bronze mirrors of the serving women who assembled at the door of the tabernacle of meeting.

It is a hard task to face your true reflection and bare your soul naked in the universal mirror of truths and still see the reflection of God staring back at you. It is especially hard when the world is screaming out your name and calling you in a hundred different directions, but to remove the veil that blinds your heart you must first quiet the noise of the world inside you. In the Bible the spirit is represented as water, and in this water we see our true self reflected in the Spirit of God, and all the noise in you disrupts the Spirit’s divine reflection and the image of God is shattered within. To see the face of something is an analogy to understanding the thing it is that you face, and It is only when we are calm and clear headed that we dare look into the face of God reflected back from inside you. To see the face of God is to truly know yourself because you are in harmony with His creation and you can see yourself as God sees you in the reflection of spirit that many call Holy Water. Once you can master your calm in spirit then you can look and see God in the form of an understanding of yourself, and this true reflection will reveal His purpose for your life.

1 Corinthians 13:12
For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I shall know just as I also am known.

Polonius:
This above all: to thine own self be true,
And it must follow, as the night the day,
Thou canst not then be false to any man.
Farewell, my blessing season this in thee!
~William Shakespeare

To thine own self be true… It is only after we have washed our bodies and clothes clean in the life’s blood of our Savior do we then feel clean enough to face our true self. This blood is not the blood of a man, but a metaphor for the price of freedom that was paid for the essence of life, so that you may live free of the bondage of sin, and to give you everlasting joy and peace in the spirit. And when we have cleaned our garments of truth in this blood can we bare to face ourselves as we truly are, untainted and unsoiled by the stains of imperfections known as our selfish beliefs. If you do not understand this now, in time you will come to embrace this truth. But before you can understand the mysteries in everything, you must first learn to unlock the mystery of “me”. True sight begins with truly seeing yourself as you are and then God’s understanding within you will grow from there. Facing yourself is not easy, and it can take a lifetime to master, and it often takes a traumatic event to awaken that inner seeker looking for answers beyond the ego of selfishness. This type of seeing is not seeing you as others of the world see you, but as God sees you, and this quest to understanding is what makes you a true disciple that does not chase Jesus, but knows Him intimately. And in knowing Jesus on a personal level it then makes you privileged to things no one else can see or know.

John 15:15
No longer do I call you servants, for a servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all things that I heard from My Father I have made known to you.

The Truth Belongs Only To Those That Seek It.

Deuteronomy 4:29
But from there you will seek the LORD your God, and you will find Him if you seek Him with all your heart and with all your soul.

The truths you will soon come to learn are not something for everyone. It is only for those that are already upon the journey of spirit to change. You will have heard many of these same things already in your life, and that is to be expected as the Lord tells us these truths are already written upon our hearts.

1 John 2:21
I have not written to you because you do not know the truth, but because you know it, and that no lie is of the truth.

2 Corinthians 3:3
clearly you are an epistle of Christ, ministered by us, written not with ink but by the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of flesh, that is, of the heart.

But though we know these truths we do not understand them as the true treasures that they are, and they then fall on the deaf ears of those who cannot understand what gems have been uncovered before them. But if we could see them for what they truly are, we would hold onto these truths dearly as cherished and guarded precious things.

Matthew 13:44
“Again, the kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field, which a man found and hid; and for joy over it he goes and sells all that he has and buys that field. 45 “Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant seeking beautiful pearls, 46 who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had and bought it.

The pearl (Wisdom) and treasures (Knowledge) of the kingdom are actually knowledge and wisdom, and to buy (Acceptance) them we accept the price that must be paid by our sacrifices of life to attain them, and we then give up all we had as our spiritual and mental possessions and sell away all we once knew to gain it. That old field of this parable was once our old life’s understanding, and it is our first estate of the world that must be sold away to gain the new and buy another home made perfect in understanding of heaven. The field is not a mountain or a valley. It is a level ground where the crops of righteous understanding can grow. This is a state of balance and evens. This is an openness and acceptance to the truths that grow within the fields of the eternal soul, and by selling away our old understandings we then buy a field of righteousness, filled with the hidden treasures that are the wisdom and knowledge of the Lord (Spiritual truth). So to understand the correct path of life you must first look within yourself to see the truth in you and what it is that must be sold away. And once you discover who it is that you are, and compare it to who it is that you want to be, then the two images in the mirror can match and become a whole image of God reflected inside you. And though the truth is already within, like a sculpture of fine stone, unless you chisel away the excess and shape the stone, the true beauty that is hidden within will never be revealed.
