TJOJ: PAGING THE GREAT PHYSISCIAN!

PAGING THE GREAT PHYSISCIAN!

One of the main jobs we see Jesus perform is the part of the physician in His ministry, healing souls everywhere He goes. And each thing He heals is symbolic of an ailment in your spiritual life.

Great Physician’s Check list:

Patient’s Spiritual Diseases:

……………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………

Blindness:
Heal the blind, to give a clearer spiritual perception.

Genesis 3:5 For God knows that in the day you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.”

Lameness:
Heal the lame, so they can walk their spiritual journey.

Proverbs 28:18 Whoever walks blamelessly will be saved, But he who is perverse in his ways will suddenly fall.

Deafness:
Heal the deaf, to give them understanding of spiritual things.

Isaiah 29:18  In that day the deaf shall hear the words of the book, And the eyes of the blind shall see out of obscurity and out of darkness

Leprous:
Heal the leper, to cleanse the spiritual house of the blemish of corruption.

Leviticus 14:44 then the priest shall come and look; and indeed if the plague has spread in the house, it is an active leprosy in the house. It is unclean.

Prognosis if patient is not treated:

Death

……………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………

In the Bible, the physical body is a mirror of the spiritual body. And if the physical body is incomplete, it would show the state of the man on the inside as well. But mind you, God used these cases to teach us, the future generations (as well as back then), how to find the path of enlightenment and how to rise from the death of the old lifeless-self and be reborn again into a whole new spiritual being. So the physical body was healed to show their spiritual life renewed by the breath of God within them – faith. So He too would raise the physically dead to be counted amongst the spiritually living. Like Lazarus.

John 11:37 And some of them said, “Could not this Man, who opened the eyes of the blind, also have kept this man from dying?”

One of the great things about the Bible is the duality of how it is written. Not only is this talking about Lazarus the person, but also who Lazarus is to you as a spiritual individual.

Lazarus:
‘El`azar; el·ä·zär': Whom God helps or God’s Help

Yes, Jesus whom opened the eyes of the spiritually blind and gave them a clear perception, can also, with “God’s help” keep you from dying a spiritual death too!

Revelation 2:11 “He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. He who overcomes shall not be hurt by the second death.” (Death in the spirit)

Rest Peacefully

Remember, Jesus tells His disciples that Lazarus only sleeps. But he is awakened when his name is called to come forth. (I LOVE this part!)

Luke 16:40 Jesus said to her, “Did I not say to you that if you would believe you would see the glory of God?”41 Then they took away the stone from the place where the dead man was lying. And Jesus lifted up His eyes and said, “Father, I thank You that You have heard Me.42 And I know that You always hear Me, but because of the people who are standing by I said this, that they may believe that You sent Me.”43 Now when He had said these things, He cried with a loud voice, “Lazarus, come forth!”44 And he who had died came out bound hand and foot with graveclothes, and his face was wrapped with a cloth. Jesus said to them, “Loose him, and let him go.”

Do you understand what is being said here to you as a spiritual being? Don’t just read this as the physical act of a man coming out of the tomb. This Lazarus is the “Help of God” in your own life. Whom by prayer comes forth from a life “as once dead” in the spirit, bound in bondage to the ways of death. And when you arise the veil of disbelief is removed from your eyes! “LOOSE HIM AND LET HIM GO” says the Lord of freedom. Let him go.

By your silent prayers, as Jesus said “I know that You always hear Me” you unleash the power of “God’s help” to be free from the grips of death that bind you, and blind you, and stop your walk, and infect your soul. The grave is silent and hears not the word of God. And though your spirit is poor, God gives you riches to store in heaven to pay the price of freedom.

Payment method:

Poverty, No insurance:

……………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………

Luke 16:19 “There was a certain rich man who was clothed in purple and fine linen and fared sumptuously every day.20 But there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, full of sores, who was laid at his gate

You are the poor man at the gate, begging for mercy and riches. The gate is Heaven. Keep begging for God’s help. And He will grant you riches like you would never believe…

Proverbs 8:18 Riches and honor are with me, Enduring riches and righteousness.

Proverbs 14:24 The crown of the wise is their riches, But the foolishness of fools is folly.

So to John the Baptist these words were uttered to let him know that his life was for a reason and all debts were paid in full.

Matthew 11:5 The blind see and the lame walk; the lepers are cleansed and the deaf hear; the dead are raised up and the poor have the gospel preached to them.

We are rich in the Spirit and we are made whole by the freedom we know humbly as… Jesus.

  1. Thank you for your great post! I think it is hard to describe Jesus at all because his greatness is beyond any words. What an example was he for us! Full of love, full of compassion, full of mercy, and full of forgiveness. To follow him and become that what he wanted us to become is a real challenge. How many of us can claim that we answer violence with non-violence, an aggressive word with compassion, to be soft but at the same time strong and full of courage, standing for the truth. And to me, interestingly, one man who was not a Christian but respected Christianity, lived a life as Jesus has taught us – that was Ghandi. He was an example of the forgiving powers of Jesus, for answering violence with non-violence, soft but full of strength and courage – a wonderful example of how powerful we can become if we truly live the teachings of Jesus

  2. I thank you for visiting my blog. Interesting thoughts you are having. I believe I need to take some time to go through them and think about them…thanks for the thought provocation..it’s good to stretch..

  3. A lot here to learn by and gain from. This was a portion of Jesus healing ministry…telling the patient what they needed when they needed it the most. Some could handle the “medicine” and others who were blinded by religion of traditional medicine remained blind, deaf and dumb, and lame. Keep listening and hearing clearly from Holy Spirit and sharing His freshness. Douglas Allen Fraser Bridge Builder Ministries International Weatherford, TX

The Lord bless you and always be with you my brother in spirit. He will never leave us, nor forsake us. All who come to Christ he will never let go, and His will is that none should perish, but that all should come to repentance and be whole in Him. So we bless as He blesses, and be forever blessed
