  1. I have enjoyed your blog. Very interesting! Apologize for the gravatar who looks very ill. No matter what I do to fix it….well… it shows up again. I was very grateful to have a Dad who made sure that I realized how important God is. Thanks for your site.

  2. Like the post (Especially Achmed) I thin its important for people to understand that as a Christian American Male we celebrate not only the “Birth” of a New Born King but we celebrate the Resurrection of the New Born King. Give to each other as God has given to us (Everything)

  3. Forgive me if this comment is duplicated – but it did not appear to go the first time.

Daniel, I doubt you and I will ever see eye to eye on this. But there are some non-negotiables (as you well know) among the followers of Jesus, regardless their flavor. Let me just respond to some of your points, so that you’re not putting words in my mouth. First of all, I never said anything about proclaiming the English word Jesus as being the only way to God. I suspect you threw in some previously written text. It doesn’t matter if you call Him Jesus, Ye’shua, Ha’sheem, Issa, Jesu, etc. A name directs you to a person. For example, it doesn’t matter if someone refers to you as Daniel, Danny, Dan, Danny Boy, or Bubba. If everyone agrees it is you, the person you see in the mirror, then we are addressing the right person. We know the Biblical Jesus by the way He is described from Genesis to Revelation. Immanuel, Prince of Peace, Servant, Lion of Judah, King of Kings, Lamb of God, Savior, Son of Man, Son of God, The Word, Creator, Messiah, and on and on. But to simply proclaim the name of Jesus and describe Him as something other than Who He really is, leads people down a path of destruction.

God introduces Himself at various times by way of names that speak to His attributes. Elohim, El Elyon, and Jehovah are three that most are familiar with. Yahweh was a term the Jews used because the actual name of God was so holy they feared speking it – but everyone know Who they meant. They speak of a particular person, of the eternal, almighty, creator God, Who exists in Three Persons as Father, Son and Holy Ghost..

The position you take that all roads lead to Jesus bears one resemblance to the truth; the fact that everyone must come from somewhere, whether it is a belief in Buddha, the Krishna, Muhammad, or from Hinduism, atheism, or wherever. However, the most damning teachings are those from false teachers, as described in Scripture (e.g. 2 Peter 2). Those who are proclaiming to represent Jesus Christ, but the god they are representing is totally different from the true Son of God, second Person of the Trinity, as inspired by the writers of Scripture; they are indeed false teachers.

Jesus became man to show us The Way to redemption – or, stated differently – how to become the children of God. He left His throne as God, was born of a woman, lived a sinless life on this earth, was falsely convicted and executed, fulfilling a multitude of prophecies from hundreds of years previous. He died, was buried and physically arose, as attested to by over 500 witnesses. He is alive today, seated at the right hand of God.

On another point, Paul speaks of the person or people groups who have never had a person among them to proclaim the message of God. Romans, Chapter 1:18-20; and it is proclaimed other places as well, such as the Psalms. God promises He will be found when He is genuinely sought.

The most powerful witness for Christ, the Messiah, the Annointed One, is the witness of the sold-out believer. Unfortunately, in the culture in this country, that is almost drowned out by believers who choose to live a life that is not submitted to their Master. They shout with their actions that there is no difference between the believer’s life and the unbeliever. Satan’s greatest attacks come against those who seek to proclaim the true Word. He is not concerned about the ones who deny their Lord.

I believe your testimony that you have called upon Jesus to save you and have repented of your sins. We are brothers in Christ, children of the living God. I enjoy a good “discussion” on matters of faith.

    Shalom!

    1. Thank you for the long and well thought out reply, but I am afraid that once again you have failed to see the point I am trying to make here, and have joined the ranks of millions of other “Christians” that have seen a need to vindicate their beliefs at the cost of the message. You have taken the whole of our faith and compartmentalized it into sections of “saved” and “unsaved” by the standards you hold and understand… and you may very well be 100% correct, but I am NOT here to debate theology or dogmatic beliefs of a church, religion, or even an individual. To me, that is a foolish waste of time when there is so much work that needs to be done in the name of Love.

1 John 4:7 Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God.8 He who does not love does not know God, for God is love.

Ephesians 2:4 But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us,

People will believe what they will believe and who are we, anyone, to decide their fate by their beliefs? You are in control or your beliefs and yours alone. Some may spread a doctrine to others you may feel as “Evil” or “misguided”, but does it detract you from compassion of the human spirit? Does it bond you closer to the Holy Spirit? Does your life become better for not caring for another despite their beliefs?

This is NOT ABOUT RELIGION or BELIEFS. It is about caring for others that are trying to connect with God as best they know how. Love as a child. Care as a child with innocence. Not with what “You know” but what you have to give! This is the message. LOVE UNCONDITIONALLY.

Religious tolerance is not “TOLLERANCE” when you care… then it is simply called “LOVE”

1 Corinthians 2:9 But as it is written: ” Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, Nor have entered into the heart of man The things which God has prepared for those who love Him.”

It says “for those who love Him” It does not say “for those that got it right”

Luke 10:21 In that hour Jesus rejoiced in the Spirit and said, “I thank You, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that You have hidden these things from the wise and prudent and revealed them to babes. Even so, Father, for so it seemed good in Your sight.

Matthew 18:3 and said, “Assuredly, I say to you, unless you are converted and become as little children, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven.

Luke 18:17 Assuredly, I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God as a little child will by no means enter it.”

Before you reply again… ask yourself, for whose benefit are you writing? And is it fully formed in LOVE?

      1. EVERYTHING THE ONE THAT COMES TO CRUCIFIX WITH OR HEART CONSTRICTO AND HUMILIATED HE DOES NOT DESPISE HE SAYS THE PALABRAS NOW WELL NEIGHBOR LOVES ANUESTRO SINCE TO US THEMSELVES IT IS THE SECOND ORDER AND SUPREME IMPORTANCE IF THERE IS NO LOVE IN OUR HEARTS NOTHING WE PERFORM IT IS UAN EPOCH TO SHARE AND TO CELEBRATE NOT IMPORTING RELIGIONS ALL THE WAYS THEY LEAD US WHEN WE COME WITH A SINCERE HEART I LIKE YOUR BLOG THIS ONE VERY PRETTILY

  4. i will mention as well that my post is centered on the question…”what do i say to the night?” it concluded me speaking about be soliders of our own lives but not needing to find the strength through fighting but through the mystery

    1. Try to put aside what you see as their shortcomings and focus on the fact that we are all equal with love.

Romans 14:4 Who are you to judge another’s servant? To his own master he stands or falls. Indeed, he will be made to stand, for God is able to make him stand.

      1. In God’s sight we are all equal. God’s love extends to all His creation. However, be careful with pulling a verse out of context. In his letter to the Roman Christians, Paul is speaking in Chapter 14 to the issue of a Christian whose faith is weak. The LDS are generally stronger than many Christians in areas of morality. But they do not profess Jesus as God, nor that His work of atonement is a completed work. Scripture is very clear on this point – Romans 10:9-10 – “That if you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved.” Ephesians 2:8-9. “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith–and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God– not by works, so that no one can boast.”

The writings of Joseph Smith express that Jesus is the brother of Lucifer; also that it is through each individual’s works here on earth they can achieve a position equal as gods, equal to God the Father. That is exactly the ruse Satan pulled on Adam and Eve bringing about the original sin (Genesis 3:4-5). We must love our fellow man – but be careful in certifying all faiths as equal in the sight of God.

        1. Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.

Love God, Love others… that is the great commandment! Not the great suggestion.

Mark 12:29 Jesus answered him, “The first of all the commandments is: ‘Hear, O Israel, the LORD our God, the LORD is one.30 And you shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.’ This is the first commandment.31 And the second, like it, is this: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.”

          Deuteronomy 7:9 “Therefore know that the LORD your God, He is God, the faithful God who keeps covenant and mercy for a thousand generations with those who love Him and keep His commandments;

It is true that Jesus is the ONLY way. I am not saying He is not. But many ways lead to Jesus. Knowing Him is more than words alone. His name is “Salvation” or “Freedom” through emancipation. And without freedom of the spirit you will always be trapped in your own personal drama and misery. Never understanding His truth. What are His greatest commands? Love God; love others as yourself. Jesus is the Body of the Church. The church is others that are seeking God’s light. And if you love God, and others… doesn’t that mean you know His son Jesus… Salvation comes to those that seek freedom. Some are more enlightened than others. Some tribe in the middle of some remote island that never met a missionary or read a Bible is damned to an eternity without God because they don’t say the name “Jesus”? Which actually is not how you say His name incidentally. So, by this reasoning, that if you say His name wrong you are damned to that same separation? Be careful how you judge, least you too be judged by that same measure. Ask yourself for the truth in the matter. Call upon God for wisdom and understand what your calling is, not to cast stones down, off your high places that you worked so hard to climb, but rather offer a kind hand up, to those that too are seeking, no matter how lost they may be. And that gesture of love will save more than any other acts or words. Narrow is the Way and few find it… but how many others have to burn so that we can find His peace? Offer kindness and understanding, not DOGMA, nor religious clichés. When you do this, then you know Jesus as He truly is. Save lives from the fire by offering the COOLNESS of the refreshing Spirit.

It is not that other religions have it 100% correct… but at the root of spiritual truth, they have the same truth. They just get a little goofy or carried away with it.

1 Corinthians 12:6 And there are diversities of activities, but it is the same God who works all in all.

1 Corinthians 8:5 For though there be that are called gods, whether in heaven or in earth, (as there be gods many, and lords many,)6 But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him. 7 Howbeit there is not in every man that knowledge:

It is as the parable of the elephant (Not in the Bible, but a solid truth, all the same):
One day three blind wise men come across an animal that they had never known. Each held onto a different part and as none had seen an elephant before, each one saw a very differnt thing. One said “Ah! It’s a rope” as he clung to the tail. Another said “No, it is a giant tree”, as he felt its mighty leg. Yet the other professed “No, it is a powerful serpent!” as he caressed the trunk.

The thing is WE ALL think we know God as He truly is. But we are ALL BLIND, and we too can only see what He allows us to see. And until that day He allows our eyes to be opened, we will never see Him fully for whom He really is.

Go with God… and see with new eyes and open the doorway to your heart of understanding.

          With great love,
          Daniel Lyons

PS. I said, “it’s about faith” as an individuals relationship with their creator. I did not say “certifying all faiths as equal in the sight of God”… I made it clear that this is “NOT about religion” nor the dogma of the religions, but about your own soul and how you treat others “OF FAITH”. Not everyone will believe as you… but yet we all still believe.

      2. For my soul’s safety and yours, and for the sake of all those who may see my comment and yours, I have to stick with what God’s Word. It is clear to see, not from this video but everything else, that they preach a diffferent Gospel, and a different Jesus–may God help many of them to come out of this darkness! This is the only Shalom, Daniel.
