Why Can’t We Get Along?
There is one God and He is the same God of all. Our differences in religious dogma hurts our unified cause to Love and Freedom more than we know. I meet so many people who say they love God but they can’t get behind their church and then they don’t attend. His love is ingrained into us all. It is why we became Christians.
What has gone so wrong in the world today that the word “Christian” is no longer synonymous with Good people working towards a better tomorrow? If that wasn’t our slogan, it should be.
When someone says “I’m Christian” it should mean I am someone you can trust and believe in. Instead, to many it means crazy hypocrites.
It’s time to put away the differences that divide us and to work toward an understanding that unites us. It’s called “Faith”. I am not asking everyone to believe the same thing. I just ask you to be aware of your actions.
I have heard and seen some of the worst horrors of this world and they were not done by criminals, but they were done in the name of God. And now you tell me, since when does cruelty and pettiness sound like Love? GOD IS LOVE [1 John 4:8]. It doesn’t say anywhere to show God love by being more cruel than any animal could be.
Love your family. Love your neighbor. Love God [Mark 12:30-31]. These are not only good ideas, THEY ARE COMMANDMENTS! So let’s work towards a future and lets reclaim our roots of peace. Sure Jesus carries a sword [Matthew 10:34], but it is the sword of truth [Ephesians 6:17] that comes from His mouth [Revelation 1:16], they are His words. Peter cut off an ear [Matthew 26:52]; not Jesus. He was a man of peace. And we are supposed to walk in his footsteps. Heal the world with LOVE. And know that your religion says more about you than it says about God. God will be here long after you left. You can neither add, nor take anything away from him, so stop fighting over who “Knows” him best. He loves us all. So why can’t you?

The way the Bible is read today is largely misunderstood and this causes a great many divisions in religious faiths. Let’s work together to reclaim our faith!
The church is part of God’s eternal wisdom in the Bible (Eph. 3:10, 11). Denominations are not in the Bible, so they must have come from men. If we participate in them, we are following man’s wisdom, not God’s. What does God think about this? Each denomination has practices that contradict and disagree with the practices of other denominations. Yet the denominational concept says God will accept all this. But is this really what the Bible teaches? God created the church to bring unity. John 17:20-23 – Jesus prayed for all who believe on him to be one as he and his Father are one. Jesus, the Head of the church, prayed for unity. The fundamental consequence of denominationalism is that it creates division instead of the unity that God desires and commands. Even worse, it teaches that error is just as good as truth! If the denominational concept is true, then all denominations are acceptable to God even though they flatly contradict one another regarding worship, salvation, etc. And if error is just as good as truth then unrighteousness is just as good as righteousness. Insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results.

It’s kind of sad there is a need to talk about these elementary truths because one would think this is something everyone should already be following upon. Great quote I heard on a recent Louie Giglio podcast was before there were denominations there was God – what more needs to be said. We get caught up in all sorts of dogma and miss the key. Love your God with all your heart and love your neighbour – if we focused just on this then the elusive Acts church would surely be revisited.
